Since there is no handle this should be used for cold drinks only. The sides could get too hot to hold with very hot liquids.

Not microwave safe and hand washing is recommended to ensure a long life to your piece. Over time dishwashers can potentially dull the finish of the glaze.
I fire my work to over 2200 and use commercial, lead free glazes that are food safe.
